Gus was an Executive Director at Telstra before his retirement in 2014. Over his 37 years career at Telstra, he has held a number of leadership positions in Strategy and Operational Line management. As Investment Manager for Consumer Division, Gus had a role in writing the Business Case for Telstra’s Pay TV network and established the roll-out program for Australian HFC – an early link with PBN!
Gus held the position of Head of Commercial Operations for Telstra Services where he led a team driving a major transformation in the structure, processes and efficiency of Telstra’s nearly 20, 000 field operations staff. Gus next took up the role as Chief of Operations of Telstra’s Engineering, IT and Products Division, managing planning, resourcing and programme delivery for that Division. This was followed by some 6 years as the Executive responsible for Telstra’s Investment Management Council directing a $4 billion per annum capital Investment program.
Over the period 2008 to 2011, Gus was responsible for leading Telstra’s Transition Program Office for NBN. This role covered strategic planning; engineering design, IT transition as well as establishing processes, systems and training for Telstra staff to ensure Telstra could operate and compete on the NBN. Nearly $1 billion of investments were made under the governance of the NBN Transition. In his last two years with Telstra, Gus led the development of Telstra’s 5 year Operating strategy as the company moved into an IP environment.
Gus retired from Telstra following successfully gaining the support of the Telstra Board to the strategy. Gus previously served as an advisor to PBN for three years between 2014 and 2016. Over the past two years Gus has been working as a Board member of the Telstra Historical Society to establish a Technology museum in Melbourne, Victoria as well as undertaking volunteer Board duties with the Living the Dream foundation. He now joins PBN as a director.
Vicky Fan joined PBN as an accountant in 2003, she has been with the company for nearly 20 years. Coping with the company’s business needs, she is now responsible for PBN Global HRS and Operations. Over the years, to support PBN’s rapid business expansion, she also participated in the whole process of establishment and relocation of PBN’s factory in Tianjin, China, which equipped with the most modern production equipment in industry. Leveraging her rich experiences in Finance, HRS and Management, Vicky plays an important role in the development of PBN.
Vicky has obtained a bachelor’s degree in Accounting Management from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and a master’s degree in HRS Management from University of International Business and Economics.
