About the Product

The PBN AOCM3400 series switching products provide high-performance and low-cost point-to-point FTTx access and aggregation switches with an extensive feature set. With their wire-speed switching capabilities these devices can be used in remote headends as well as in a central headend aggregation deployment scenario.

The AOCM3424 SFP-based switch is an excellent fit for small deployment scenarios or start-up operations as it also supports L3 routing protocols. With its clustering and cascading technology, this device allows you to easily expand as you grow without large up-front investments.

Tightly embedded in the PBN FTTx solutions product lines, this switch can be used in conjunction with our CATV overlay products and triple-play fiber-access gateway products.

  • 36 Gbps backplane bandwidth, hardware routing and wire-speed L3 packet-forwarding rate (9.6 Mpps)
  • High port density and a maximum of 24x 100M SFP ports, 2x 1000M SFP/TX combo ports and 2x TX Gigabit ports
  • SFP-based Gigabit optical-fiber ports support up to 80 km long-distance connections
  • Provides multiple user-authentication modes such as 802.1x
  • Powerful ACL and hardware, supporting L2 to L7 data filtration
  • Intelligent forwarding policy, which fully prevents red-code virus and shockwave virus
  • QinQ and double VLAN security
  • Supports static routing
  • Supports RIP v1/v2, OSPF v2, BEIGRP, BGP v4
  • ISupports multicast routing protocols such as PIM-SM and PIM-DM
 
  • Automatically identifies straight-through and crossover cables (MDI / MDI-X)
  • Adopts cluster technology; supports device cascading; dedicated management through a unique IP address
  • Open management access including Console port, Telnet, Web and SNMP
  • Automatically detects and limits broadcast storms; supports IGMP snooping to limit broadcast flooding
  • Supports flow control in full- or half-duplex mode
  • Advanced buffer management supports 802.1p, with four dispatching queues per port, mapping the eight priority queues in 802.1p
  • Rate limitation in steps of 64K is supported on the Ethernet interface
  • Supports IP multicast and QoS
