The Americas, 30 June 2013 - Pacific Broadband Networks (PBN) announces that SuperVision, an affiliate of YukonTel, in Alaska, USA has chosen to deploy PBN’s RFoG DPON mini-nodes along with the associated forward laser transmitters and reverse receivers in the headend of its Tanana system.   SuperVision delivers services including TV and Internet across RFoG and HFC broadband networks.

Don Eller, Manager for SuperVision, cites “expectation of the high-reliability of the PBN mini-node in extremes of temperature” as a reason for his choice.   SuperVision operates a DOCSIS 3.0 system and with a reverse path at 1610 nm.
