PBN will Live Demo the DOCSIS 3.1 Capable Return Path Monitoring Solution

In less than a week, ANGA COM 2018 will take place from 12 - 14 June 2018, in Cologne, Germany. This year Pacific Broadband Networks (PBN) will demonstrate its new Return Path Monitoring solution.

Our demo highlights are: 

· High sensitive real-time spectrum analysis that can detect the noise per millisecond
· Capture, store & analyse historical return path spectrum data
· Proactive Network Management (PNM) integration that links the spectrum data and plant health

The spectrum and plant health are the key areas for MSOs to upgrade their service offerings to meet increasing customer demands.

PBN’s Return Path Monitoring solution consists of the following components:

Application:

Hardware - AIMA3000 Return Monitoring Module (RAMM)

The PBN AIMA3000 RAMM is designed to enable MSOs to effectively monitor the performance of multiple RF return path signals. Designed with DOCSIS 3.1 in mind, it supports spectrum monitoring up to 204 MHz and a minimum 10 KHz Resolution Bandwidth (RBW).

Software - netWatch fastView

netWatch is an advanced big data analysis software platform launched by PBN for MSOs. It is built upon the latest big data software components and can be deployed in a local or cloud environment. fastView is a key component of netWatch and provides a return path spectrum analysis solution which integrates netWatch’s existing Proactive Network Management (PNM) functionalities. The software platform offers both browser views for Operation Center users and mobile app views for field technicians. netWatch fastView is designed to help MSOs to quickly locate upstream noise artifacts and analyse related upstream signal healthy.
