Energie AG Oberösterreich delivers Austria’s fastest Internet Service for rural areas using Pacific Broadband Networks (PBN) GEPON technology
In October 2014 Energie AG Oberösterreich officially launched its broadband initiative for residential customers using its FTTH (fiber to the home) infrastructure. Leveraging active and passive equipment from Pacific Broadband Networks (PBN), Energie AG Oberösterreich Data GmbH currently offers bandwidth up to 300 Mbps through its unique fiber backbone in upper Austria. In the target areas, triple play services are offered via GEPON technology leveraging DVB-IP via Multicast for the TV services. A fiber is deployed into every subscriber’s home delivering real fiber to the home.
