GIB-Solutions AG implements PBN AOCM6000 P2P and P2MP technology
Almere, The Netherlands, 25 March, 2015 - Pacific Broadband Networks (PBN) announces that GIB-Solutions AG (subsequently named GIB) decided, after an intensive trial period, to roll out its 1 Gbps Internet access service using PBN’s FTTx solution. GIB is the owner of Flashcable, a well-known and successful ISP-Brand located near Zürich, Switzerland. GIB is offering Telecommunications and IT solutions for communities and enterprises in Switzerland. GIB also delivers high speed FTTx Internet, VOIP, and TV-Services to a rapidly increasing amount of subscribers in more then 17cities/communities in Switzerland. After the initial successful implementation of PBN’s AOCM6000 based FTTx solution in early 2014, GIB has decided to continue the expansion and upgrade their FTTx infrastructure with PBN. GIB uses fully redundant AOCM6000 L3 network switches and in its P2P/P2MP hybrid network structure. In conjunction with PBN’s CATV-Overlay components, GIB is able to offer full triple play service over fiber. The choice of GIB to implement the AOMC6000 in combination with the PM520 and CP121 CPEs also enables GIB to increase their subscriber bandwidth over their fiber networks in the near future very easily.
